Seminar Talk "Computer Vision in Underwater Robotics"

On April 14 Tomasz Luczynski and Arturo Gomez Chavez from Jacobs University Bremen gave a seminar on "Computer Vision in Underwater Robotics" at ShanghaiTech University. The two PhD students presented their research on applying Computer Vision techniques to Underwater Robotics. Their contributions were also presented at the OCEANS 2016 conference in Shanghai. The titles of their papers are: " Automated Species Counting using a Hierarchical Classification Approach with HaarCascades and Multi-Descriptor Random Forests", "Visual Speed Adaptation for Improved Sensor Coverage in a Multi-Vehicle Survey Mission" and "Full 3D Navigation Correction using Low Frequency Visual Tracking with a Stereo Camera".
